Bridge Building Workshop for elementary age kids and parents

Rachel Dougherty’s workshop for elementary-aged kids and their parents will introduce Brooklyn Bridge engineer Emily Roebling and explain the basics of how bridges work. Using simple building materials families will make their own bridges.

Registration strongly suggested, as we expect it to sell out. $10/family (up to 2 adults and 2 kids)

Making Family Books Workshop for All Ages

Dave Engeldow's books are illustrated with arrangements of photos, a technique he loves sharing to help other families make their own unique photo collages.
Dave will be reading his books aloud and then talking about the process of making. The event is for parents and kids.

Registration required as space is limited. Tickets are free

Illustrating Animals, a workshop for kids age 8-12

Kate Garchinsky is the illustrator of The Secret Life of the Red Fox, The Secret Life of the Brown Bat, Belle's Journey, and The Secret Life of the Skunk. She will be leading a workshop for kids age 8-12 on how to illustrate animals, whether wild or domestic. Come learn about watching, sketching, drafting, arranging the page, and coloring.

Registration strongly suggested, as we expect to sell out. Tickets are $5/child.
