Big Blue Marble is proud to once again host novelist Daniel Torday and to welcome Idra Novey for the first time. Both will be sharing their new novels - Boomer1 and Those Who Knew.
Daniel Torday is the author of the novel The Last Flight of Poxl  West, a New York Times Book Review Editor's Choice, and an International  Dublin Literary Award nominee. Torday's work has appeared in The New  York Times, NPR, The Paris Review Daily and Tin House, and has been  honored in both the Best American Short Stories and Best American Essays  series. A two-time National Jewish Book Awardee and winner the 2017  Sami Rohr Choice Prize, he is Director of Creative Writing at Bryn Mawr  College. His second novel, Boomer1, is out from St. Martin's Press in  September 2018.
Idra Novey is the author of the novel Ways to  Disappear, winner of the Sami Rohr Prize, the Brooklyn Eagles Prize, and  a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for First Fiction. Her  work has been translated into ten languages and she's translated  numerous authors from Spanish and Portuguese, most recently Clarice  Lispector.  Her new novel Those Who Knew will be out from Viking on  11/06/2018. She lives in Brooklyn with her family.
