Poetry Reading w/ Courtney LeBlanc & Miriam Kramer

Join us for a night of poetry, as we welcome authors Courtney LeBlanc and Miriam Kramer. The writers will be reading and discussing LeBlanc’s newest collection, Her Dark Everything, from Riot in Your Throat Press. Miriam will also read from he collection, Built By Storms, from Write Bloody Publishing. This will definitely be one not to miss!

Courtney LeBlanc is author of the full length collections Her Whole Bright Life, winner of the Jack McCarthy Book Prize (Write Bloody, 2023),  Exquisite Bloody, Beating Heart (Riot in Your Throat, 2021), and Beautiful & Full of Monsters (VA Press, 2020). Her next collection, Her Dark Everything was published in April 2025 by Riot in Your Throat. She is the Arlington Poet Laureate, a Virginia Center for the Creative Arts fellow (2022), and the  founder and editor-in-chief of Riot in Your Throat, an independent poetry. She loves nail polish, tattoos, and a soy latte each morning.

Miriam Kramer is a queer, Jewish poet residing in New Jersey with her partner, daughter, and two cats. She majored in Creative Writing at Pacific University and currently works at an educational nonprofit. She was the winner of the 2023 Jack McCarthy Book Prize. Miriam loves stick figure drawings, bright sneakers, and embroidery. Her poetry has appeared in Variant Literature, So to Speak Journal, FreezeRay Poetry, and others. She is the author of three chapbooks prior to her debut full length collection, Built by Storms, with Write Bloody Publishing. Built by Storms was nominated for The Lambda Literary Prize and The New Writers Award, Great lakes College Association. Miriam has performed her poetry in front of a wide range of audiences in a variety of venues across the United States. She’d be thrilled to come read for you. Find her on social media: @miriadwords
